![]() Hot Pursuit – Racers will need to fight to finish the race.No matter the lobby, players have a selection of the following: Outside of Career, players can engage in online pursuits via Public, Private, or Invite Only lobbies. There was some occurrences of this during pursuits as well, but they were largely unnoticeable once the rubber starts burning. After testing on two different consoles across multiple modes, I did notice several audio issues with clips tearing or abruptly going in and out. ![]() I do not believe the game was meant to blow anyone away with its visuals. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered brings the original up to par with standard racing games. While it does include cross-platform multiplayer and all original DLC, ultimately, its feel does not exceed a simple competitive arcade-style Need for Speed. This effectively makes success all about time in the best ways possible. With the simplified control schemes, some police maneuvers can be performed at the push of a button. Taking tight turns and maneuvering oncoming traffic feels increasingly gratifying as pursuits enter the final stretch. One thing I really like is the feel of the vehicles. ![]() If you’re completely new, the beginning of each career provides a quick and dirty tutorial on how to get the most out of your car. Whether online or playing career, moment to moment action remains relatively the same. Any seasoned Need For Speed player should have an easy time managing themselves behind the wheel. This works well as drivers focus on strategically outmaneuvering the competition while maintaining high speeds. With abilities like helicopters and spike strips being implemented, most of the driving techniques have been simplified as well as the control scheme. ![]() Like the original, the remastered edition focuses on head-to-head competitive pursuits. However, the game plays rather well on the new engine, for the most part. Since this is a remaster, there is not much in the way of innovation. Like before, players will be testing their skill in high speed police chases. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered launches on November 6, 2020, for the PC, PS4, Xbox One the Nintendo Switch release date is one week later on November 13, 2020.In Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, players return to Seacrest County. The cars that haven’t made it into Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will disappoint fans of these particular models, but EA has still managed to get all of the other 77 cars in the game. Carbon Motors closed its doors in 2013, and that is probably why the Carbon Motors E7 Concept is missing from the remaster. The average player may not be familiar with this company it originally came onto the market intending to create new police vehicles. The third and final missing car is Carbon Motors E7 Concept. Both Mercedes-Benz and McLaren have individual cars in the game, so the absence of these two vehicles is likely due to the fact that Mercedes-Benz sold its stake in McLaren back in 2009. As the name of these two cars indicates, they were created as part of a partnership between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss are two of the missing cars. Toyota’s absence aside, the list of new cars also happens to be missing three entries from the original release of the game, a fact that came to light when comparing the new list of cars with the list of cars from the original game. Howveer, no Toyota cars make an appearance in this revival, possibly due to Toyota not wanting to promote “illegal street racing” with its brand. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will feature a total of 77 cars for players to enjoy - certainly welcome news to players who were disappointed by the early closure of Need for Speed Heat.
